Devoted is Transitioning to a New Chapter

Storefront closing Friday, March 21

Dear Friends,


I have some important news to share. After much reflection, I’ve decided to close the Devoted Hair Salon storefront and transition to an in-home salon, located 20 minutes away in Fork Union. Our last day at 68 Heritage Drive will be Friday, March 21.

This change allows me to offer a more personal experience while also spending more time with my family. While my booking system will be temporarily closed during this transition, I’ll keep you updated via email, my website, and social media about when appointments will reopen.

For those wondering about our other talented stylists, I’ll share their new locations as soon as they’re settled. For example, Reyanne is already seeing clients at Salon DeShano.

I truly appreciate your support over the years. I know this may be an adjustment, and I completely understand if the new location isn’t convenient for everyone. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. I hope to see many of you in my new space soon!

FAQs

Why are you closing Devoted Hair Salon?  

I’ve made the decision to transition back to working independently in a more personal, in-home  salon setting. This change will not only allow me to offer a more tailored experience to my  clients, but it will also provide me with the opportunity to spend more quality time with my  family. Why now? It was time to sign another long-term lease. So, this was my opportunity to  make a change. It’s been a bittersweet decision, but I’m excited for this new chapter, both  personally and professionally.  


Where will your new salon be located?  

My new in-home salon will be located just 20 minutes away from our current location, in Fork  Union. I’ll be sharing more specific details as I finalize the space, so stay tuned for updates on  the location.  


What about the other stylists at Devoted Hair Salon?  

I am happy to share when the other talented stylists will be moving to new locations. Once they  have settled into their new spaces, I will provide details on where and how you can book with  them. For example, Reyanne is already seeing clients at Salon DeShano. I will keep you updated  as we learn more about where the others are going.  


Are my appointment history and color notes available?  

Yes! Your appointment history and color notes will remain in our system, so we can continue  where we left off. If you ever need access to your information or would like a copy of your client  records, feel free to reach out to me directly, and I’ll be happy to assist.  


What will happen to my future appointments that are already booked?   

Any appointments with me will stay on the books. All appointments with other stylists after  March 21 will be canceled.   


Will I be able to continue seeing you in your new space?  

Yes! I understand the location change may make it more difficult for some, and I truly  appreciate your continued support. I’ll do my best to make the transition as smooth as possible  for everyone who wants to follow me.  


When will you reopen for appointments?  

During this time of transition, our booking system is temporarily closed. I’ll provide updates on  my website and social media about when my books will reopen. Make sure to follow me there so  you’ll be the first to know!  


Will the pricing change in your new location?  

For now, my pricing will remain the same. Any changes to pricing will be communicated clearly  to you in advance. My goal is to continue offering great service at a fair price.  


What if I have loyalty points or a gift certificate?   

Your points and gift certificates are still valid. I will honor those in my new location.   


How can I stay updated about when you’ll reopen your books?  

To stay up to date, please follow me on social media and sign up for email updates (if you  haven’t already). I’ll be posting regular updates about the transition, my new location, and when  I’m ready to start booking appointments again.  


Can I still contact you if I have questions or need assistance?  Absolutely! Feel free to reach out to me directly at lauren@devotedhairsalon.com with any questions or concerns. I’m here to help during this transition.

How to book with stylists after storefront closure

Lauren, Elizabeth, and Robin will all be operating out of their homes:


  • Lauren will be in the Fork Union area. Book online at devotedhairsalon.com or call (434) 207-3505. This is the same as it has been. 
  • Elizabeth will be inside Lake Monticello. Call (540) 742-4253 or email studiomsalon2019@gmail.com to book.
  • Robin will be in the Scottsville area. Call (434) 409-2402 or book online at strandshairsalonva.mysalononline.com. Email at  strandshairsalonva@gmail.com


Reyanne is seeing clients at Salon DeShano. Call (434) 589-8920 to book.


La’Nyah will be back at Moxie (in Charlottesville) starting 3/26. Call (434) 979-5556 to book.
